The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

Check out my full goodreads review for this one! Rating: 5 stars

The Dating Plan by Sara Desai

This was a cute romance, and I loved all of the South Asian culture and representation that was implemented! It did sometimes get a little over dramatic and overly cheesy, but it was still a solid read. The individual character growth for the hero and heroine was focused on just as much, if not more, than the romantic relationship. Rating: 4 stars

Not Here to Be Liked by Michelle Quach

I AM RAVING ABOUT THIS BOOK!!!! Y’all know how much I love a good high school contemporary romance, and this was that and so much more. The themes of casual misogyny, feminism, and Asian familial life were relatable and discussed in such an authentic, raw way. I loved that Eliza was an “unlikeable” character, and her personality was so multifaceted and realistic. I also loved the way that high school life was written; it didn’t feel overly embellished or romanticized. This is such an impressive and incredible debut, and I look forward to reading Michelle Quach’s future books. Rating: 5 stars

All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata

This was my first Mariana Zapata book, and I had super high expectations but was let down a little. I was appreciative of the slow burn that has become so characteristic of Zapata’s romances, but it became a little TOO much to the point that I was becoming bored. The entire book was 200 pages longer than it had to be, and wasn’t very interesting either. Still, I liked how grief was explored and I loved the found family that Aurora created for herself. Rating: 3 stars
